Episode 08: The Legacy of Wine

We're excited to have Luca Pasquero Elia, Co-Owner, Paitin Wine, join us this week on Unwined Live.

The history of Paitin begain in 1796 when Benedetto Elia bought this estate with its wine cellar and vineyards. His son Guiseppe enlarged the vineyards and later bought the underground cellars, which date to the 1400s.

Since 1898, they have been exporting wine and since 1893, they have been producing Barbaresco del Sori Paitin.

In 1965, Secondo Pasquero restarted the winery and built a new cellar and replanted the vineyards and bought more as well. (source: wine.com).

Paitin is one of the oldest wineries in Barbaresco.

In today's show we discuss:

  • The role family plays in winemaking

  • How Luca and his family have pivoted in the pandemic

  • What the future holds for Paitin Wine

  • What it means to redefine your legacy

Connect with Paitin Wine on Facebook or Instagram.
